Nearly any mage combo other then dream+int mastery will do better but will hard to pull off unless you know how every enemy in the game will act cause you will die if you take a hit and wont have dream passives to fall back on if you make a mistake though you'll hit for massive damage.i mean you wont hit as high as hunter but mages are well known for the best aoe in the game, you can throw so much aoe and kill large packs of mobs in seconds they arent good boss slayers but are amazing at clearing random mobs esp in multiplayer games where the hunter char will kill bosses while you clean out all the mobs with ease. Ranger (hunter+nature) wiill surpass brigid but needs really high levels and really good gear to do so but ends up much more tanky, has pets, and has less energy problems. Most other builds will end up better in the endgame in certain roles but.need strong gear or are harder to use imo.petmasters are very hard to use and not recondmended for a first timer, warden (defense+hunting) outdpses conquerer and tanks much better but takes much longer to reach that point due to pierce taking forever to become good.hunting in general is the highest dps in the game so hunting+anything will prob make you hit the hardest in the game yes even if you go an int+hunter though it wont hit as hard as other hunter builds.

Then easy mode mage is usually any int but nature+dream mastery.dream fixes the mages major glassy problems though its still glassy.you wont hit the highest mages can do but at least you wont die to a slight breeze.if you want to see mage at full potential then you shouldnt pick dream and pick 2 different int mages so you have at ton of spells to throw at the enemy and high very high int and cooldown reductions. Then easy mode should be brigid (hunting+rouge): you do massive damage and make enemies lose their minds via confusion, flaws include very frail (dies in 1 hit later on and reflect damage which makes you kill yourself) but ya you give up survivabilty for the dps role.you kill fast but die fast. If you want easy mode tank then conqueror (warefare+defense) is the best option, doesnt need good gear to tank well and tanks really well if you do.flaws though include no long range options so you are a sitting duck to long range but thats what you give up to be a tank lol.kinda boring too though for a first char, you prob want to be a tank anyways so you can observe enemy patterns and their dps is decent (not the best but up there)
